Kandy esala perahara is celebrated on month of August. This is a very colorful festival celebrated in Sri Lanka. Kandy esala perahara is one of the most traditional event in Sri Lanka. The petahara start with the wipe crackers cleaning the road. They announce that the perahara is on it is way. Then comes the fire ball dancers. The elephants look like the twinkling starts as night. They too dace for the beat drums. The majestic march of the maligawa tusker walking on the white carpet carrying the tooth relic of load buddha adds beauty to this event. The perahara is filled with beautiful traditional dancing items. This is one of the most traditional  event in Sri Lanka. This perahara is joined by other kovils such as Natha, Vishnu, Kataragama, and paththini.  This is considered as one of the sacred event in Sri lanka. The perahara lasts for seven days. Kandy esala perahara is a bless for our little country.🙏
